Joe1888 672
the other halfs auntie has had this collie for about 5-6 year, poor fecker isnt walked, only let out into the garden, fed all the crap of the day.. she had it at the vets not long ago and was warned it needs walked, and fed proper dog food only, sure she said its starting to have ligament trouble. anyway, its not been around other dogs, its met my pup once and soon as they got close it snaped. other half is at me to start taking it out with my lurcher pup, and i would no problem if i knew it wouldnt f**k up pups progress. if i put a muzzle on the collie, walked them a few times, think it would come good? Too much food does. Spaying just decreases the metabolism so they need less food and or more exercise. 2 Quote Link to post

Keep it as far away from your pup as possible ... It will either give it a pasting and knock its confidence or it wil teach it a whole array of bad habits ....... 5 Quote Link to post

F350 22
If your going to take them for the odd walk together let them meet on neutral ground Can't blame a dog for kicking off if you took the pup on its territory. Some dogs also give the pup a quick snap to put them in there place so keep them leaded up to start with. Just remember its not used to other dogs so you will have to keep on your toes. No harm in trying, good effort and all the best.. Quote Link to post
Fennster16 29
You could try a muzzle, or a halt lead. Take the missus and walk both together til they get use to each over Quote Link to post
jcm 2,327
Sorry mate but I wouldn't let it get in the way of your pups progress as the pup might pick up bad habits, leave the collie with it's owner might sound harsh but it's not your responsibility 2 Quote Link to post
