I read somewhere that Stephen Fry was writing a screenplay for a remake of Dambusters (probably already been made and aired) and he has called the dog "Digger" as it is "more acceptable" in this day and age.

 

I wonder if he had the Dambusters flying Stealth bombers to make it more up to date?

Walshie; That film was all the rage, a year or two back. I wouldn't know about the F word. But, the N word seemed to get more f**king mileage than All the stupendously Speilbergian quantum leaps in film making that were said to be going into it.

 

I can't really remember what all the hype was about. CGI? They'd practically built a 'Dambuster' plane ~ or three! ~ Shit like that. It was due to be a world class, monumental film.

 

Looks like it all fizzled out though. Last I ever heard of it was a cloud of controversy fuelled dust about What to call Gibson's f**king Dog!!!

A DJ plays a very old record containing a word, and he gets sacked, despite protestations of innocence and apologising for any offence.

 

Over on Radio InDaHood, they have Jay Zed, Puff Dudley and Nefarious BIG (or whatever the prats call themselves) uttering it several times in one sentence !

 

I've heard white lads calling each other 'nigger' ! (Mind you, they probably pronounced it 'nigga' - they did have their trousers almost at their knees and their caps on sideways !)

It's that brief clip, in which the uniformed airman crouches down and greets the approaching Dog with:

That's what led me to naming my Dog Nigger. A throw back to a far simpler time. When a madman had tried to take on the entire rest of the world. But, the rest of the world, at least, maintained its sense of f**king perspective as to what Mattered!
