Grabbed the better halfs camera as i fed the birds some wild food today and here's few pics.

A nest of 4 Greenfinch chicks that are rather snug in the nest now so it won't be long till there out and about.

This a friut fly culture container i made up out of a old quail drinker,put in old fruit the birds land on the perches and the fly's will fly out ot be eaten,old chickweed on top to stop it getting poo'd on ;) .

The red berries were rowan berries i picked and froze last year and they get them most days.

I'm proper struck by them Gnasher and there a bird that will be my main stay for a while i think and i never really knew how vocal both cocks and hens can be with some funny noises comming from them when their excited when the wild food goes in :laugh: .

I have never wanted to keep birds, and truth be told still don't. But I just love looking at the photos, and getting the passion that you feel about the birds. It comes across with you guys when you post, how even though these birds are captive bred you try and give them as natural a life as possible. :thumbs:

I've had 2 go broody but both nests failed and in the pic of the redpolls with cock (dark)quail in it just to the left of him just under that conifer and old millet strand is another 3rd hen sat on eggs there but she's been on and off them so not holding much hope on that one either but with them it is really just for fun type thing and i do have 4 pairs to try with anyway :laugh:
