Good friend of mine who I lived with for a time was in the marines,,, went in just after the Falklands came out about a week befor the gulf war,,,,,wanker missed everything ,,,lol,, course I gave him shit for it,,,,and would tell him I thought paras were better,,,, that used to wind him right up,,, cos he thought every regiment was below him....

You run a mean beating team then eh Dan. Recruit beaters straight out of Plymouth do ya? LOL

 

Nige, very unassuming bloke, like a friend of mine who used to be 43Cdo FPGRM, toured Afghan and Iraq, you'd never put him as a RM to look at him! Just goes to show....

Richard was one of the men who parachuted on to the QE2 again as unassuming as anyone you could meet yet singularly the most inspirational man I've ever met :thumbs:

:icon_eek: Christ, I bet he's got some stories! I read about that (before my time obviously). M squadron used to practice anti terrorism/hostage rescue operations on the QE2 when it was 'off duty' but with the crew on and unaware. Like I said, those boys have my full respect!

 

What is it they say.... "we do the same selection and training as the SAS............ then repeat it underwater". :laugh:
