Warren Mitchell was a big toker! :laugh: I remember reading an article and he said he never went on set or on stage without having a crafty spliff first! :D

It was set in a shop and Martin Freeman was in it, anyway long story short he said that he didn't think that only fools and horses would get commissioned today because and get this he thought it glorified greed lol. And the powers that be like sitcoms to have a social conscious lol.

Late 60's and 70's were the heyday for proper british comedy. Nothing at all comes close now.Rising Damp...Reggie Perrin...Porridge....Open all hours...Steptoe and Son...Love Thy Neighbour...On the Buses.....Then the likes of Benny Hill...Dick emery...Tommy Cooper...The list is endless...Sadly i dont think any modern Comedy's Or Comedians will be remembered as fondly as the old lot were. Jmo though.

Oh I don't care he was a Jew, there's loads of Jew boys round stepney, whitechapel and limehouse.........if you didn't talk to pakis or Jew boys round there you'd walk about in silence all the time !! Lol lol

I cant watch many of these sitcoms they have on these days...that Benidorm shit is on right this minute it makes me want to throw up theres nothing funny about trying to shock you !......When you think back to things like Mind your Language,George and Mildred,Porridge,Rising Damp they were just generally funny they didnt need to be shocking to get a laugh....shame the way comedy has gone.
