Country Joe 1,411
BPR, I don't wish to get into an argument with you, but you do need to chill out, okay you don't give a feck about back breeding or named dogs, that appear in peds, yet as been said the BWRA ped of your pup is littered with top racing dogs. You have put a similar thread on the Working Whippet Forum, with the same aggressive form of putting your point across, which naturally gets members back up, then you tell me you don't like that forum, well why use it? We can all disagree with other members views, and constructive criticism is good, after all that's what makes forums interesting. 1 Quote Link to post
jambay5 191
when choosing the pup make sure you see both sire and dam!! if they have good coats and thick skin buy one! if not move on or look for 3/4 cross thats been put back to a pure! whippets have thin skin fact! you may get lucky or not. " its the worse forum, only used to sell pups and dogs at stud." ... Your above would be correct... hence why ive only put up a handful of posts... and half of them would have been about them ripping people off with £300/400+ for a pup... with the "buy cheap buy twice" sales pitch ... I initially replied to you.. explaining that i knew nothing of my pups 'lines' ... until i had her in the car... There was no sales pitch... no champion lines...no nothing... and id had her booked from a few hours old...as were the rest of the litter... I also replied to ideation... that the big names... arent what i was getting at... Its the slack use of them plastered all over gumtree... just to shift their pups... But deleted it because its the same old...same old. 1 Quote Link to post

barnslyben 74
just had to go back to page 1 to remember what the lad was asking I think a whippet would maybe suit his needs, to work with a terrier or perhaps a small type heavy whippet blooded whippet lurcher . a lot of fun to be had with this combo . almost any whippet will learn to work along side a terrier, some better than others sootysam lines are good and toughdogs, but I would go for a dog with a touch of something else in it ie terrier or collie atb BB 1 Quote Link to post

paulsmithy83 567
Whippets are great animals for there size. Only issue for me is there skin no questions about that one. I've seen whippets peel like an orange. You can get various sizes and are laid back in temperament but its heart in your mouth stuff. Some almost seem to have a suicide button lol there itching to press it at any minute. Fun dogs though Quote Link to post
