Some coursing, lurcher, countryside books you might enjoy. I am having to clear the house, so selling all sorts of stuff off: Postage arranged with buyer, because I might be able to drop off, or meet to save those costs - will combine if more than one bought, so always postage at cost.

The Complete Lurcher by D. Brian Plummer
full of some of my pictures! Not all of them, but many. Those were the days! This is collectable. £15 - the next volume, The New Complete Lurcher, was the last book Brian wrote and it has my dog, "Peggy" on the cover! I am not selling that one.



A Coursing Year by Charles Blanning and Terry Thorne.
Charles was my boss when I was the photgrapher for the N.C.C. and Greyhound Studbook, from 1986 - 2006. This book is full of pictures of famous coursing dogs from the coursing events up and down the country. Long out of print, it will provide you with hours of enjoyment. £5. SOLD to Borderscot



The Complete Book of Greyhounds by Julia Barnes.
Julia was a regular on the coursing field, she did reports for some of the papers and bred some of the coursing greyhounds as well as running a kennel of coursing dogs herself. £5

The Waterloo Cup - The First 150 years. by Charles Blanning and Sir Mak Prescott.
This was produced as a limited edition to celebrate 150 years of The Waterloo Cup. Each nominator was given one and I got one as the official photographer. The remaining books were sold, but the numbers were very limited. £20 SOLD to Max

An old copy of Ian Niall's The New Poacher's Handbook - full of methods of trapping, and how to poach birds as well as fish! Plety of anecdotes on poaching hares, partridges, peasants, rabbits, deer, salmon, ducks, etc. Collectable. £5 plus post. SOLD

a book on the legalities fo all countryside matters, shooting, fishing, and wildlife. A good reference book. £5 plus post

No, she wasn't a trainer. She had dogs that she bred and kept with other owners or owner/trainers, like John Lloyd did. I only ever saw her at the coursing meets, she asked me to supply her pictures for her writings. I know she was quite friendly with Michael and Julie Collins.

The limited edition Waterloo Cup was a hard back with an early print of the Waterloo Cup with all owners and trainers indexed on the dust cover, the one in the OP is the paperback reprint
