paulus 26
so when the teachers are on strike like today here you should be able to charge them for child care
walshie 2,804
My son's school always did fine you at the Head Teacher's discretion. £104. We were never fined, but even if we had been £104 is a lot less than the extra you get striped for flights during the holidays.
TOMO 29,446
Your right there walshie,,, one of the guys down the street,,, said that's exactly what he was going to do,,, just pay the fine,, cos the saving on the holiday was massive ,,,,, but we shouldn't have to be in that situation,, The wife goes on facebook ,,, somone had put a link up to centre parks ,,, and it was 300 quid different at half term,,,, for absolutely nothing different,,,,,,not that I'm going there,,,,just an example

Born Hunter 17,965
Changes to education imo should be; Increase length of school day and encourage more physical education and technical exercises/problem solving. This would hopefully encourage a positive attitude to health and sport as well as skills that'll support self-reliance and independence. Also help parents out with work hours. Increase interschool competition. Nothing like competition and pride in your colours to bring about excellence and achievement! Finally, and it's more a patriotic thing than anything, but fly the Union Flag and learn the national anthem! Encourage pride in one's country!
