Putting Stitches In Yourself

how many lads in heat put stitches in them selfs? ive always put the odd stitch in but never any thing over a 2inch cut.

Super glue has saved me a few quid in the past. I've now invested in a stapler too................. As for stitches i'm not confident in doing it without causing to much pain plus i'm shite at sowing

boiled fishing line, super glue and savlon spray or detol. i've fixed myself up with these, never mind dogs

practise on darning your socks you will be a dab hand in a year. ive heard superglue can cause damage to dogs?

i'll try that one ......... I'm sure It's fine , used it on myself more than the the dogs a bit like irishnut. It was what it was originally designed for

Stapler does the trick for most things found super glue easy too use for a dogs foot though but can't say I've used any on myself

ive never used staplers other than takeing the ones out of dads back lol

I think the staplers are brilliant. For every 'stitch' there is only one painful bit and its very quick and even then for most the skin tears they can get them stapled while the dog has his face in his food bowl without any distress to the dog.

 

The one downside with them is that if the dog licks too much they will come out whereas I suppose stiches would probably stay in better. So i normally put the cone on him for a period after

I used to stitch till I used a stapler, will never be with out one now, quicker and easier so you put the dog through less stress messing about with stitches plus there stronger than stitches.

stitching, staplers and super glue are all options but only if you are 100% sure what you are doing, if not find someone who is and remember all these methods will only fix skin tares not deeper things
