Scotland Yard Admit Fault In Ian Tomlinson Death.

So what would you lads say would be a worth while punishment for pushing someone over in the street??

If me or you pushed someone over in the street without provocation and they ended up dead, we'd be up on a charge of manslaughter..

Ever pushed anyone mate, punched somebody in the puss?? Whether they started it or not? Things happen and this was in my eyes a tragic accident. I'm sure if the man could change what he did he would and if the guy that died could change his route he would.

How many doorman have you seen be heavy handed? Yet they get off with it because its part and parcel off there job. Similar instance wi the man that died. Ill ask you mate since JB side stepped it.. Would you be saying this if it was an anti demonstration or would you be glad the police were cracking heads??

Lad I know was working away a few years back, he was out with a workmate on the beer and this workmate was being a pissed up arse trying to start shit with a load of blokes while they were waiting in line at a kebab house. Faced with a kicking off a load of blokes because his mate couldn't hold his beer and wouldn't pack it in when asked too, this lad give the other one a friendly little jab to get him to shut up. Pissed bloke hit the deck, fractured his skull, died and the lad was convicted of manslaughter and given a suspended sentence..

I get all the boot on other foot crack but you cannot say that this guy had to be there, he could have avoided it, rodded the cops off and sadly came off worse, the fact is he acted like a dick and with the cops already heightened got a shoving over for his troubles , as lab has said , that's the only sad thing here, he brought it all on himself

Are you on a wind up? You cannot be serious. So what if he did give the police some lip, he obviously got told to dissapear and was in the proccess of doing so when the hard nut pushed him to the ground and with his hands in his pockets could not break the fall.

Unlawfull killing, manslaughter call it what you will. The fact is if he had not been pushed he would be alive today.

I didn't side step it, the police should use reasonable force whether they be anti's poll tax rioters whatever, that guy was posing no threat lab. The police have admitted it was unlawful and he's been sacked and now he should face charges for it imo.

Well I'm not a police hater and I look at everything as a neutral and if you can kick f**k out of someone or stab someone with intent on seriously hurting them and avoid jail then I don't think you should go to jail for a very unfortunate accident.

if the evidence goes to a court of law it will be decided there .. but I guess in this case it will be brushed under the carpet the copper will disappear with a new name maybe mr smith and the evidence will get lost :whistling:

im not a police hater either, but i do firmly believe in if they break the law they enforce everyday, then should be subjected to the same punishments.

i worked the doors for many years mate, and was charged/fined a cpl times, and i accepted that, and if i had thrown some c**t down stairs and he had been killed,id have expected jail. we certainly didnt get any special favours from the cops.quite the opposite in fact.
