bigmac 97kt 13,836
Got to the farm at 7,15pm and try as i may could not for the life of me get the zero on both the raider and the crow sport so i sat down and had a fag and pulled my self to gether had quite a few flyers on both targets but iv got a lot on my mind at the moment .So after a fag and ten mins to carm down i tryed again this time i was spot on set the zero at 35 yards this time on the photo it dus not look that distance but it is as vislauk can verify this as its where we set the zero most of the time we go up to this perm. The tables are set out at diferent distances so its mint for setting your scopes up marksman can olso verify this as he has permision here to.Once i was set off i went came across two woodys at about 25 yards hit the first one and down it went the second one was still sitting so it was sent on its way to i could not find one of them as the under growth is to thick at this time of year. I then came across a lovely rabbit with its back to me a lovely sitter so i took aim and let go a jsb 15,89 and missed i could not bileave it so off i went again the next one was sitting at spot on 35 yards i let a nother one go and it hit it in the head but im going to be honest lads i did not hit it in the right place and it draged its self away.I could hear it in the under growth but could not find it gutted as i dont like to leve them like this but if we are all honest im not the only one that has had this happen to them it put me in a mood and i could not consentrate on what i was doing like i sayed to meny things going through my mind. I went back to the car as i was going to pack up and go home i did not want eny thing els to suffer becouse i was not on form dusk was cutting in now and on the way back i saw one sitting about 45 yards away so i rested the rifle on a round bail of hay took aim and let another one loos this time it was spot on it just rolled over not even a kick . The jsb hit it in the kill zone and that boosted me back up once i got to the car i had a can of iron brew and a bite to eat then set off again the next one was sitting at 35 yards so i layed down for this one and i hit it in the head again this one gave a few kicks and moved forwerd a few times then it lay still so two rabbits and a woody but shud of been three rabbits and two woodys atvbmac Edited July 23, 2013 by bigmac 97kt Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
unlucky mac with the wounding shot, that's just what you friggin needed with your mind set at the min...not! its hard to concentrate on much at all when your thinking about the sort of stuff that your thinking about. glad to see your still going shooting tho and keeping active and trying to take your mind off things. but your only hunman, we all miss sometimes that's just a part of shooting! doesn't happen much but it is bound to happen every now and again, just have to try not worry about it too much. loved the pic of both guns on the bench.. I'l do a copy of it with my 97kt and my hw100kt, when it arrives my thoughts are with you and your family in these rough times mate. all the best buddy, SKoT 1 Quote Link to post
rabbitcatcher 1 287
Good shooting mac, I think we all can wound our quarry at one time or another, there's nothing worse than having bad stuff on your mind either but speaking from experience things get easier mate it just takes time, I hope we can get out for a couple of hours soon mate, atb Adam 1 Quote Link to post
Miikee-L 72
Very good honest write up mate! You didn't need that shot especially at this awful time but, when shooting at live quarry, the odd bad shot is bound to happen from time to time, and happens to us all! but like what has been said at least you pulled it back together and got a couple more shots off spot on! Another nice read with plenty of photos again tho! Top Bloke ATB Mike 1 Quote Link to post
