How much does the crown estate put into the treasury each year though, genuine question? Steady on with the facts Malt! Lets not let them get in the way of a good old fashioned jealousy driven witch hunt. Over £200M annualy................... The tax payer owns the royal estates!! And instead of us getting it all they pocket 33mil of it!! Then we pick up the tab for keeping them safe everywhere they wanna go!! And the Crown Estate does not 'belong' to the tax payer, it belongs to the Crown which I believe is the personal property of the serving Monarch. Well, actually, to correct you, he didn't hand the keys over, just the control of the Crown revenue. The Crown itself is still the personal property of the Monarch.
