To be fair and honest the only real and indisputable advantage a PCP has over a spring rifle is its multi-shot magazine capability. An ability to quickly cycle a bolt and chamber a second shot and more after that, is always an advantage of speed shooting over a single-shot loading action.

But that's all really.

When you are skilled with shooting a rifle, with a full knowledge of the marksmanship principles and a well-practiced correct hold/shooting technique, owning a really well set-up, tuned quality springer means you will never be without a precision accurate rifle to go to for a hunting day/night; whatever the weather or terrain.

I disagree with everything I've heard said and read about the weight of spring rifles as a disadvantage to carry in the field; they weigh, on average, the same as most military service rifles are most certainly not too heavy. Or they'd be useless! :hmm:

Nor I would never take even the most advanced PCP rifle over my HW and Air Arms spring rifles for pure accuracy any time.

But, then again, these are what I'm very well used to.
