I see this fight as nothing more than a warm up for Froch before another block buster fight for him. .   Groves has nothing that would bother Carl, his only hope is that the cobra grows old, fast! .

Agree it's deffo worth a go for Groves, as you say a defeat for him isn't the end. If it makes business sense it'll happen, they've been on decent terms for years but noticed last few months they've b

would be a great fight that. i wouldnt like to say it would be a close one

Personally i think this is a bad fight for Froch.......sometimes time catches up with you real quick when theres a young hungry opponent you cant quite work out in front of you.........Dont get me wrong Froch is a better fighter than Groves and has far more in his locker...........but " once too many times to the well " and all that...........ive seen it so many times, training camp go,s well, you feel great, look great..............but then all of a sudden the hard wars that have all taken a bit out of you over your career are making this fast moving, super high energy young fresh opponent look like a hard nights work.

I like Adam Booths philosophy in tactical fights he uses an opponents strengths against them i think if they do meet and Groves fights with discipline and intelligence he can take a decision victory against Froch..........for me Froch should take a few decent paydays in his last few fights and get out the game.....he certainly deserves them !

I don't know shit, but does Froch strike you as a fighter that will take a few paydays and retire? It's hard not to admire the man.

Your absolutely right i have nothing but admiration for the man......we all like to think things were better in our day......but for me Froch is an old time fighter in a new age....he lives the life, doesnt duck anyone,is willing to go into their back yard.......................and all this on very little natural talent !.....I dont think Froch is particularly gifted in terms of fighting skills and ability but he makes the most of what he has and thats something all fighters admire old or young.....I hope he nicks a few big paydays, but like you say.....his natural competetive nature might get the better of him.

Any of you guys catch Golovkin - Mackiln at the weekend?

Golovkin is one of the most composed and technical fighters i've seen in years in the higher weight classes, the fact that he's got that sort of power too... scary man

Id never seen the guy fight before....a few people had told me he was a very good fighter so i watched just out of curiosity.......very impressive he made everything look so easy.......they say he has great power,if he has a decent chin id say he,s as near a complete fighter as your likely to see id like to see our 2 boys give him a bit of a swerve :D ............I dont know all the fighters in the division you probably know more than me satan80......but id imagine Martinez would be his biggest threat ?......but then ones starting while the other is ending career wise so we could see a decent reign if this Golovkin is as good as he looked the other night.

Yeah Martinez would be a tough fight for him, think it would have been a real 50/50 last year, but after Murray gave him a bit of a beating I reckon Sergio's best days are well behind him, he's pushing 40 and riddled with injuries.

You're right with Golovkin making it look easy, he's so calm and calculated, a proper combination puncher rather than a 'flurrier' like Khan or Calzaghe type, every shot is calculated, and his footwork is incredible, just glides across the ring and cover distance so well.

He had 340 odd amateur fights and only lost a handful, amazing. The fact that he's such a banger is a bonus, great to watch knowing he can end a fight at any moment.

I really like Murray but reckon he'd be on a hiding to nothing, i can't see how he'd trouble Golovkin. I'd rather him fight Andy Lee, Macklin, or Barker if he wins the world title.

What do we reckon about Price tomorrow gents, repeat or revenge?!

Martin Murray is from my home town. i would like to see him fight Barker plenty of respect between both fighters. Murray should have got the decision against Sturm and also in my opinion against Martinez.Had to do it on their home turf. Can be frustrating to watch at times i think sometimes he is too cautious and fights within himself. Not seen this Golovkin fella yet seems to be highly rated from what i have read. I fancy Price tomorrow. With Groves i have a hunch his chin wil let him down against the top guys just a opinion.

Golovkin reminds me of young Kostya Tyszu, same sort of brutal power and amateur pedigree too. . Sergio is on the way down. . Martin Murray, for me is the 2nd best Middle in the world, but would like to see him beat his British rivals, Barker is no mug.

Think Price will avenge the loss, I think the first was a fluke, I'm a little concerned about those whiskers though. .

ive had a look at Golovkin on youtube looks very impressive.Full respect to price for taking the rematch as his next fight. If he loses this where would he go from there. His career is on the line in this fight.
