Blackbriar 8,569
Cameron says he will not be able to block a planned rise in MP's pay, after the next election. At a time when our incomes are being squeezed 'til they squeak, and millions face an uncertain future, our representatives are rubbing their hands at the prospect of lining their own pockets even further. A back-bench MP is currently paid around £66,000 per year (before expenses, obviously!), and this is expected to rise to over £70,000, and could rise by up to £10,000 ! The Prime Minister says such a situation is "unthinkable", but MP's have said they will block any move to prevent or restrict the rise. And the gravy train rumbles on.......... walshie 2,804
Most jobs you have to have a yearly review and if/when the boss decides you have done well, you get a SMALL pay rise. We are their bosses and I say they've done a terrible job.
