walshie 2,804
Have they really not got anything more important to worry about? The F.O has launched a campaign to warn holidaymakers that falling off balconies can be dangerous. http://news.sky.com/story/1109194/balcony-warning-after-britons-hurt-on-holiday Part 2 of the campaign: Sticking scissors in your face can be harmful. Part 3: Buses can squash you.

rob190364 2,594
If less effort was made trying to prevent natural selection there would be less dickheads in the world! how can that be a bad thing??
walshie 2,804
Agreed. And if more effort was put into dealing with serious matters than pissheads on holiday, things might be a lot better.
unlacedgecko 1,467
lol, saw the thread title and expected this to be about the latest trouble in Egypt. Heard on the radio last night that it has all kicked off again. USA has evacuated all non essential diplomatic staff.
The Seeker 3,048
Walshie you do the foreign office an injustice, if it wasn't for these people where would we be? I have often considered the pleasure that can be obtained by falling off a balcony but now the FO have told me it can be dangerous I will in future avoid this practice. Only last week for a holiday I was considering hiring a sailing boat and taking a trip around the coast of Somalia when to my surprise I discovered through the jolly chaps at the foreign office this wasn't a good idea, phew... . Oh well back to the shed I need to transfer a few gallons of petrol from a couple of canisters in there, err that reminds me where are my cigs and lighter gone.....

Rake aboot 4,936
Unfortunately Brits (young Brits) keep dying by falling of the things though. It`s so common that they have to take it seriously. If a teenage child of your goes abroad with his mates, it would probably be a massive worry . That and getting chibbed by locals.
