a good lurcher x lurcher- a good one is every caliber of bullet you would ever need

one that would bring in a wage and do the house work

Collie based lurcher - great dogs, always entertaining, usually a challenge, but very rewarding. And I like them, which is lucky, as I have 2 !

i looked for a lancashire healer years ago but i couldnt find what i wanted at the time, had one growing up iv only seen a few since.

Best allrounder got to be a proper collie

Everyone had a heeler(read that as nasty biting little b*****ds) when I was a kid and now you don't see them anywhere. I think their bloody expensive nowadays too.

the old chap at the farm near me has a couple, other than that iv only seen a few.

Nasty little black an tan terrier things... Even scarce in their native Ormskirk now... Though ya know what, I like 'em...
My mates nan had one which hunted the very first time we took her out like she had been doing it years and for the size of her legs was like shit off a stick.

have you had a bad experience TC ?

When I was a kid nearly every farm that had cattle had a bloody corgi to work them, they would run in behind the cattle and nip their heels, before the cow could kick back they would lay flat to the floor and the cows kick would sail over their head. Every one of them Pembrokes and Cardi's would have your heel and would be impossible to kick, B*****d things, would not trust them as far as I could thow one.

Lakeland for me ...had a couple, great little dogs ,big heart ,working brain .Could have taken one stalking had I been bright enough to realise her potencial , had a great nose . The minute a rat moved onto our place (we lived close to a chicken rearing shed) them dogs wouldn't stop till they got it , they dug a few tidy sized holes .
