Gaz_1989 9,539
As said above I can't understand running a 10 month old pup in the summer. I would just be sticking with the mooching and a bit of road walking and then kick in with trotting September time at the start of the season. Them extra 3 months will mean alot to her puppy bones, joints and ligaments. Just my opinion. Gaz. 4 Link to post

Ideation 8,217
Serious question and not a dig. . . . . But do you think running the young dog every day behind the car for miles, will make it any fitter come the season, than a young dog that has been mooching around, free running, swimming etc, and mostly lounging around the garden, and is then put through a conditioning routine just before the season, and then worked hard? moocher123 132
As I said every one different and she is bouncing endless she loves it it's not just for fitness for her not to be so hyper Link to post

Not really won't make a difference till she starts to work and she loves it so I'm happy to keep her fit by running behind the car and a mooch in the evening Link to post
socks 32,253
Nothing wrong with giving a youngster that much work if it can handle it ... My young bitch can do 10 miles alongside my quad easily .......... 1 Link to post

I just asked a question, and was looking for an answer. You said earlier that you liked to keep your dog fit and have it fit for the season, unlike 'other people'. So I was asking if you thought that come the season you would have a fitter dog on your hands than folk who let them have time off over summer, and built them back up pre season. Since when did I speak to you like I am something special. . . . wind your neck in. As for the rest of your drivel. Look at what I have said, where was I rude? Or threatening? Edited to add - if you can't take questions, or people not agreeing with you, you need to grow up, or stop posting stuff on a public forum. Now RELAX. I never knocked you or your dog, just asked you a question. And you are acting like a wee boy. Edited June 9, 2013 by Ideation Link to post

snoopdog 1,256
when a young dog is out mooching for ten miles ect.its going at its own speed. when it jogging its trying to keep up with you.its far from fully developed.so there for can do damage which could give it problems later on in life.it may not.but why take the risk. instead of putting silly smileys with tounges sticking out why dont you listen to people know. a pup needs nothing more then a good walk.for fittness and they will learn a lot more mooching in the fields then they will following a motor on hard tarmac jolting its young joints.now this is just my opinon .if you know better crack on. 4 Link to post
