LaraCroft 863
The very fact that there HAS to be a charity called Help the Heroes , shows what the people governing this country think of our servicemen. I do agree - please don't get me wrong.... but the difference between standard NHS care that they are entitled to, and what the H4H does is just exponential. Yes, I work for the NHS, no it isn't perfect - far from it, but for what you get at the time of need - it is excellent. The difference is the quality. There is Lidl quality and there is Fortnum and Mason. If I needed a new limb, I would want a state of the art one, but the NHS provide a standard colour basic plastic one - it is still a replacement, but far from top of the range. They can't provide the best for all - it is just not feasible economically - so we need H4H. We shouldn't, but we do. In an ideal world, we all get the best. Sadly, that doesn't happen. Having looked after many of them coming in to Birmingham, and cried, and celebrated, and everything inbetween over their disasters and triumphs - they need a chance. reaper1064 285
Typical, you serve and fight for your country and then get shafted up the arse by the monkeys running the show. Historically the government have never been good at looking after the serviceman and women, everything from cutting the armed forces and giving them inadequate gear to do the job with. You can almost see it now some pen pushing budget saving pencil dick saying " I know lets save millions by cutting the armed forces budget and then send them out to as many places we can, They won't mind after all it's what they are paid to do". They expect the earth out of them, and they do a bloody good job but seem to be on the shitty end of the stick all the time.
