Guest bullterrier
Should bloody destroy the owners along with it. Theres no bad dogs, just bad owners. What's the betting they had this pooch to look'ard, and left it in the garden all day and night with barely any mental stimulation or training? Not to lay down stereotypes but I've known staffs for years and they are lovely dogs unless they have a moron behind their lead. Problem is powerful dog + moron = stuff like this! That poor old man, what a horrible thing to happen. Got to disagree here mate, there are bad dogs, seen them with my own eyes sometimes the owner did not make the dog that way but they are still to blame if they ignore the signs. Its a crock of shit when a dog rips someone apart and the owners says " He was always as gentle as a lamb" , the signs are there, you just have to have the sense to do something about them. but theses fuckers let there dogs roam the streets i think they with punished maybe by the law or the community or both john
neems 2,406
Here is a question - Has there EVER been a case in the media, where a dog that was owned by someone who wasn't a moron, badly hurt or killed someone??? I've been bitten by a few dogs owned by naive people, and seen a lot of accidents waiting to happen who weren't owned by morons just very naive people. mainly baron middle aged women who treat them like babies. bracken boy 584
im with you oxo to the point of some dogs being just plain nasty but it does and always should be laid on the owner, we are their controllers. you can own a nasty dog and for yrs keep it safe and under control by the means of keeping it away from public and always on lead. if you cant do that then dog p.t.s.. simple.

DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
I agree, there are good and bad dogs just as there are people, and I agree that there is always "signs". You should be looking for those little tell tale signs whatever the breed. I also think lack of exercise and mental stimulation will bring out frustration.........Like has been said ticking time bomb.
Casso 1,261
They are all only dogs they're neither good or bad, all created by man but where they differ is temperament , We put highly driven dogs with huge energy into a shoe box type existence and expect them all to live happily ever after , it's a feckin miracle that the socialibility of canine don't break down more often There are breeds in society today whose ancestors were bred to kill or be killed and these dog were bred to have huge energy and certain reactions to situations , people don't understand how pent up energy stimulates certain breeds and how that energy is expressed No fecker buys a running dog and expects it not to want to run , what do folk expect from bull breeds , working terriers and dogs of war they too have to express themselves energeticly and with big hard temperaments im not surprised certain breeds come to our attention every now and then If we could start addressing the energy issue in canines the bad dog issue would be looked after itself at the same time. The energy level in some of the bull breeds (pits, staffs) they need lot of exercise. The bullmastiffs + ebt's were bit more laid back temps, but all need good 2-3 hours aday on+ off the lead. We all know that with our lurchers+ terriers they will drive you nuts if they dont get out for a good walk.My pup 1x gsd x grey Buck is laid back temp , but only when he had 2-3 hours walk, Bryn simlar not as bad. As above unless owners of the dogs that have been in the News all the while, dont give proper (dog ownership) more people (kids-old people) will get killed , as ive said any dog of 50-60lb are strong animals, but dogs bigger and high energy breeds it will always end in tears

Isn't that a bit of a contradiction in terms.......... How can someone that isn't a 'moron' have a dangerous animal attack someone? Surely by definition that is what makes them a moron?
