oxo 522
There are some right arseholes that own dangerous dogs, not just bull breeds, and they will ignore all the signs that the dog is a wrong un. Likely they made the dog that way but no matter how many people say blame the owner you do get dogs that are just plain nasty, same as some people. seen some with my own eyes and they are scary, a dog that will set about a person the way it would another dog. The owners should be jailed, the signs are there and they ignored them 99% of the time.
bird 10,014
Why the fook does this keep happening..the shit realy is going to hit the fan soon for all us genuine decent dog owner's.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-22672602 yeh was a post up the other day, very said for a old man to die like that. Any strong dog could kill a man of that age. The people who had it should get sent down for murder, it was out of control + very dangerous . Thats why they brought the new law out regards dogs loose (on your own propertey), if guard breeds (gsd, rottie, bullmastiffs etc) and loose you will get done , and what happened to the old man brings it home to you. If you got have powerful dogs ,keep'em in kennels+runs or (dont) have them. Ive got a very powerful pup (1x gsd x grey) got great temp loves people+dogs, but i am well aware that what he could do if he was aggresive
Millet 4,497
Spot on Bird.. ..if you don't know a dog's capability and be able to read there behavour coupled with the knowledge and ability to realease they mouthes from whatever they happen to have hold of..you simply should not own a dog.. Astral 253
Should bloody destroy the owners along with it. Theres no bad dogs, just bad owners. What's the betting they had this pooch to look'ard, and left it in the garden all day and night with barely any mental stimulation or training? Not to lay down stereotypes but I've known staffs for years and they are lovely dogs unless they have a moron behind their lead. Problem is powerful dog + moron = stuff like this! That poor old man, what a horrible thing to happen.
Outlaw Pete 2,224
" The breed of dog has not been confirmed but nearby residents said it looked like a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. " Not wishing, in any way, to detract from the tragedy and horror of all this. But, what happened to the old, media standard procedure of calling anything that bites a " Pit Bull Terrier ". Then lashing up a library photo of one, foaming at its toothy mouth? Now we see no photo's. The body's about to be burned, after chopping about. And all we have it what some un named 'neighbours' are said to have said. That it " Looked like " a SBT. Neighbours said my PBT was " One of dem Rockwyler Devil Dogs, innit, mayte! " F**king morons. No. I've said it before, I'll say it again: I reckon this is part of the quiet campaign to slide the Staffy onto the Prohibited Dogs list.
Ideation 8,216
Here is a question - Has there EVER been a case in the media, where a dog that was owned by someone who wasn't a moron, badly hurt or killed someone???

Got to disagree here mate, there are bad dogs, seen them with my own eyes sometimes the owner did not make the dog that way but they are still to blame if they ignore the signs. Its a crock of shit when a dog rips someone apart and the owners says " He was always as gentle as a lamb" , the signs are there, you just have to have the sense to do something about them.
