Great when the tar boys turned up on site. 1 the smell and 2 on a cold day it was a braw heat. baw 4,360
Can mind when they tarred the rest and be thankful, think they forgot to add something to it. Anyhow, red hot day it melted, was a photo of cars all stuck covered in tar. See if you can find the photo lab or anyone, would love to know when that was. I'm guessing mid nineties

walshie 2,804
Horsesh1t. My grandad (who had a lovely garden) used to keep a bucket and shovel in the boot of his car. If he saw horsesh1t on the road, he would pull over, shovel it up and take it home for the garden. Don't seem to see it on the roads near here any more. The smell of wet dewy grass in the morning. I used to spend a lot of the holidays either "camping" in the garden or night fishing and that smell really brings back memories. Not so obvious now as it stays wet all day instead of burning off in the morning sun.

Lab 10,979
Funny how you remember smells from grandparents houses. My grandad had a drop down unit thing where he kept sweets like Bon bons, liquorice things and toffees. When he stopped using it as a sweetie store every time you opened it you got a waft of a sugary treat...:-) Outside in the sheds there would be buckets full of rabbit guts where he had been cleaning them from the night before, there would be deer heads and legs all over the place......used to take friends up with me when I was young. They must have been thing "what the f**k??".... Lol
