Just sounds like a wounded deer mate. After the adrenaline wears off they lay down and give up the ghost pretty quick

borderscott.i remember courseing a hare preban and it run perfectly when caught it had a front foot missing snare i reckon .i couldnt believe how fast it was for a hare with a front foot missing.what

Like I say....they won't have been a Dik Dik......they're an antelope....they survive in very arid savanha....

 

Have a look at Pudu....

I've had a Dik Dik .....well run it over in bush in Kenya ....they seem to jump out of bush and on to dirt track and into lights as not just one did this but loads did on a short journey .....id say their smaller than muntjaks

i seen 1 before with only 1 front leg and half the other 1. just the same as your first picture

 

Thats what happens when some folk dont squeeze there stops on there snares.

How many different types of deer in Woburn abbey?..is it a good day out and don't mean hunting :laugh::laugh: ......theres Pere David ,Reds and Axis deer from there to go with the fallow that's been there for hundreds of years in Margam park
