dytkos 17,945
I sold mine last year but used to have Bikesure/Adrian Flux at about £170 a year. The NFU will do it a lot cheaper but ONLY if you have some other insurance with them, home, car, etc etc otherwise they aren't very helpful (I had a stand up row on their stall at the Royal Cornwall Show a couple of years back ) Cheers, D. nod 285
unless it has 2 seats
redcharge 379
unless it has 2 seats Not too sure about that mate. I was told even if your quad was designed to carry 2 people your still not permitted to carry any passengers on an Agri registered quad. I just asked the question to clarify this

socks 32,253
The only insurance I could get was with the NFU as the bike isn't road legal cost me £109 for the year third party fire and theft ... To answer the question if it is registered or insured as an agri then its only for one person no matter the seat size ....
Matt 160
Interesting Socks.... How can you insure a bike for road use if it isn't road registered? Mine isn't road registered either, and I'd like to insure it if I can.
socks 32,253
If the bike is used for agricultural use which rural pest control comes under you can use the quad on a public highway for up to 1.5 Kms to get to your original place of work or to go between places of work ... As I said NFU are the only ones who will do this insurance ... And I had no other insurance with them before this ........

Chid 6,794
a quad for agri use, used on the road still as to have a number plate and a valid tax disc
Matt 160
a quad for agri use, used on the road still as to have a number plate and a valid tax disc Apparently it's correct. I've just got off the phone to NFU, and providing you are only going less than 1.5km and it's agricultural use, you can be insured and legal without a number plate.
