I'll have to find one of Trev smiling he had half the locals terrified of him at first :laugh: :laugh:

The bitch smiling is the same one as in my aviator pic.

She's recently done a gracilis muscle and I've been putting witch Hazel on the bruise with cotton wool.

Every time she see's me get the cotton wool balls she curls back her lip and smiles :laugh: well I hope its a smile!

Together with folded back or lowered ears the 'smile' is a sign of submission. The ears, and often the tail, give the clue as to whether or not the dog is being aggressive: high tail, erect ears plus showing teeth mean aggression. The 'smile' is more of a pulling back of the lips rather than just crinkling them up.
