The problem is bigger than this, it's a completely deterioration of British society, morals and standards! We can keep bringing in regulations and bans and laws but the cause will remain, no honour, n

5 big strong aggressive dogs in a pokey little house in a heavily populated area, surely theres got to come a time when some sort of authority must step in and say no..........some folk need protecting

Simple......you bring out mandatory insurance policies and good old fashioned dog licenses............no insurance you lose your licence.....own a dog without a licence your banged up. Same as cars..

firstly what a waste of a young life thoughts are with the family of the poor girl gazman888 firstly the young girl did not live at the address were she was killed and what was she doing in the house on her own we will have to to wait for the full story as for what you said about banning these breeds what a stupid thing to say some people should think before they let there fingers start typing :censored:

Not nice at all.

on a side note (and without wanting to start an argument or detract from the thread) i would like to see a ban on the naming of the breeds in these cases because i don't think it matters.

That's a fair point to be honest. I think my point comes from the fact that i have a pet EBTxStaff that is a rescue and it winds me up the way the uneducated treat you even though you are just trying to prevent yet another dog being put down (that and the typical "my dog is ok" brigade).

Plenty of other breeds bite people it just always seems to be some twat that owns a bucket load of bulls that ends up in a sad incident like this one. its the cock end owners that are the problem.

(again, apologies for diverting the thread)

have been around engish bull terriers all my life and have rescued and rehomed them for years have only been biten once and that was my fault anyone with a bit of common sence would never leave a child on there own with any breed ill probly be phoning the livepool echo again when they run this story tomorrow because last time something like this happened they had a picture of a snarling pitbull yet when you opened the papper it was a westie that ripped a kids face open and for you to come out and say theses breeds need banning is wrong blame the owner dont the breed of dog would i be classed as a twat because i have five english bulls that i own and two rescued ones waiting for new homes at the moment :censored::thumbs: john

not a ban on the dogs, which is what your post stated, a ban on the breeds being publicised and more often sensationalised in order to promote the press agenda.

Read my post again, properly this time, I've got an EBT cross! :)

i dont have to read your post again so your saying is if it was a lurcher that killed that poor kid you would want all lurchers banned

You're getting yourself mixed up. Go back and read my first post, very slowly word by word if you have to. I DON'T WANT ANY BREED BANNED!

What I suggested was the banning of the press naming the breed of dog when these attacks occur because they are only doing it to sensationalise their idea of the dangerous dog culture (always bull breeds). For f**k sake when it comes down to it I think we are both trying to argue the same point!

Its the smack rats that own the dogs that need putting down.I live less than 5 minutes away from this estate and its full of the little druggy b*****ds,trying to be the next mr big on the estate with some bull breed in tow!.Just goes to show how useless the police are, theres a bloody big police station right on the estate and still they cant get a grip.

I tell you no word of a lie that ive seen 12-16yr olds tooled up with stun guns on the Hag Fold estate where this poor girl has lost her life, useless police run by a useless goverment.

Went and walked the pooch with the wife and child at Black Park in Wexham at the weekend and the number of pakis with Alsatians or Akita type big old dogs was f***ing ridiculous. The dogs must have weighed more than them. And I thought that lot didn't like dogs?
