secretagentmole 1,701
It is going to be below zero all day, possibility of snow flurries, so why do I want to drag myself away from a nice warm fire, put the Jack Pyke boil to death Camo onand go and stand in woodland? Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Well I got out in the snow, tried the Crosman Premiers (cardboard box jobs). Snow covered all the branches so my attempt at stalking sounded like a hippo ballet dancing on toothpicks, but I still got a bunny! 1 Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
I had a few hours out this afternoon and loved every minute. Well wrapped up and some snacks sorted me out no end. Only a couple of rabbits to show for it but it was just nice to be out. It was on a new premission too so it was interesting to see where the tracks were in the snow. A decent reccy and some food to boot! 1 Quote Link to post

engraver 44
I went out last night in the blizzard never seen snow drifts like it in these parts, theres a path on one of my shoots with high banks either side and each side was a snow drift at least 20ft high, higher than my bungalow I should have got a picture. I admit I wasnt out with the airgun but my new semi auto but 2 of the five pigeons I shot could have been got with the airgun as I walked straight underneath them sitting in the branches of a fur tree away from the howling blizzard. It felt pretty unsporting blowing em out of the trees with a semi auto so I made sure they were breasted and in the pan with a bit of butter garlic rosemary and time sprinkled on and a jacket potato they made a great supper at the side of the fire with my wet clothes on the radiator, great night I saw all kinds of wildlife also as it was like everything was blinded by the snow, I nearly stood on a woodcock at one point.
