Cloning A Dog

Recommended Posts

Hypothetical question..... Obviously  But say you had the chance to clone a dog, which dog would it be and why? I don't know how cloning works but lets say the dog can even be long dead. Would all the coursing lads prefer a clone of Lucas or bulldozer rather than it standing at stud? Would you clone your own dog perhaps? Me, I'd prefer a clone from my first lurcher, just to bring back the memories. Wasn't the best but it made me happy.

So what dog would you clone?

My old 3/4 gh 1/4 dh, best dog i,v had by a mile, i swear it knew what i was thinking, buster.

Yea had a dog like that mate, it knew by the expression on my face if there were deer about........usually ferreting, just standing waiting..... I'd look at him, he would look at me, mouth would close, ears up.... he'd move 3 paces away so I couldn't grab him, scan the horizon then off

I've actually thought about this after reading an article (think it may have been on here) about a bloke who won a competition to have his dog cloned.

I'd definately clone my first kelpie (in my avatar) as he's been a fantastic working dog and best mate. He was hit by a van when he was eleven months old and I've always wondered how good he'd have been if he didn't have a mangled pelvis.

He's none too fast, as a result, but has that knack of being in the right place. Then again, if he had that extra speed and agility, would he have learnt to run so cunning?

I have often read you talking about that bitch Tomo. She sounded a cracker.

Did you ever breed off her? if you did, any of them pups make the grade and did what she did?
