Got the week off so been trying to get ontop of the weeds. Started skimming the top off my path to stop it creeping onto the plot

The other side is a bit of a pain my neighbours jungle keeps coming at me. I keep taking the edge off but they wont have a plot left at this rate

dug up the box hedge and paving slabs they were just hiding weeds and slugs

once thats done I can do the same on the other plot so plenty to do

Had an hour on the plots today dug first spuds ( not the best but sure they be tasty, pulled a few beets to culled a cross bread pigeon from my loft , while we was there I swapped some eggs for a turn

:laugh: not much else to be done at the moment just pick what ever I fancy and all winter veg is in so thats it really. Just keep on top of any digging as stuff comes out so I don't suddenly have a whole plot to do.

Bet you have some dam nice yokes on the them eggs lovely :thumbs:

You cant beat a fresh egg terry.Done a couple of hours weeding myself today only got savoy cabbage and leeks growing at the moment. The tomatoes up to date are a disaster just when they are ready to pick they are split cant help but mess something up each season. :laugh:

yea my toms down the plot are rotting but getting some nice ones out the pots in the yard now. The black krim beef steak ones are very nice. The look rubbish until they sliced but taste great

i should have shaded the greenhouse when we had the really hot weather that and watering problems again in the hot weather i think have been the cause of them splitting . The black krim toms sound intresting never grown any. Hopefully i will get some decent ones yet got quite a few still on the plants. :thumbs:
