digdeeper 278
I was out today having a look about checking some earths around our shoot as our partridge pen had been having a visit during the christmas period i had not been able to get about due to floods. Checked afew well run spots but the dogs didnt want to know so i carried on til i got to a well used rabbit warren my dogs went mental i knew something was about. My strong chocolate dog was entered baying strongly i screwed my two piece shovel together and stood it in the ground as i pushed on it i was into the earth directly behind my dog it was literally 2 inches deep. i opened up the dig an removed my dog collard him up and dispatched our quarry. I have never had such a easy dig let alone straight behind the dog he wasnt even in the earth 3 minutes and we had found our suspect. I backfilled straightened everywhere up and went to find the farmer. If someone had told me i would never of believed how shallow it was. Happy hunting dig deeper 5 Quote Link to post
