A Couple Of Hour's Lamping With Moll

Recommended Posts

It was a good night for it so Moll popped along with Rudie as i wanted to give the pup limmited run's as the last time she got tired she started messing about..Lil started of good and done some cracking catches by ploughing into the hedge's and pulling a couple of rabbit's out that i thought she had missed..she caught 5 in total but failed to keep hold of one along some sheep netting which quickly escaped through the fence and down a hole..and the last one she chased was a hard one made even harder by her as she seemed to be herding it instead of putting a strike in..she caught it all the same and that was the last one i was slipping her on..

Rudie pulled some good catches of even though he has permanent damage to a wrist that will never heal..and these bunnies are getting lamp shy now and running like they have a rocket up there arse..we could of went on but Rudie was getting a bit lame and i did not want to push my luck with the pup.. so all in all a good night on this bit of land..

Eye she is doing ok but i had a bit of a set back last night that i forgot about but i hope she will shrug it off.. she got zapped of an electric fence and i shouted at the same time which made her think i had hit her..after that she was nervy for most of the night and sculking behind me on the lead..load's of fussing and petting was done for the rest of the night..and she seem's fine with me today..

I would love to sort a night out Ginny but it wont be till next season as they is still a bit of fine tuning to work on with the pup..and i can't afford any cock up's with strange dog's..so she is out on her own at the moment for a good while or with a dog she know's..

Doing well Millet..

Me white bitch ended stuck on in an electric fence one night what f*****g carry on.. Happened out the beam thought she had broke a leg with the carry on.

Dog got a bad fright, We carried on lamping (were miles from moter) after ten mins or so she was straining on the lead, watching the other dog running its game.. Was no lasting effects..

Sure she will be fine, mine have we sulk if they get a telling off nowt a bit of scran or a run on the rabbits dont fix..

Bad crack them lecky fences,, there's loads round my house all the fields on the edge of my village,, the dogs hate them. Visa got tangled years ago some of you may remember, and it fecked her for months.

Despite the problems millet looks like you two had a nice wander for a few bunnys,,,have you told moll to get back on here

Well done you guys...bit more experience for the pup on the bunnies,a dog i had a long old time ago done the same one night and when it got back to the motor no way in the world was he gonna get back out,my mate tried to coax him out via his collar only for the old fecker to lock straight onto his arm :icon_eek: ..plenty of fussing and a few days steering clear of leccy fences and having him jump plenty of fences etc he was grand and never shyed away from them or such ;) ..herding eh?... ..if it don't make a hunting dog then off to the nearest farm for her  ..i wouldn't be too concerned about that to be honest it'll just be the Saluki blood in her keeping them boxed in :D ...ATB Andy. ;) ...oh and the dogs look mint
