bigmac 97kt 13,836
Hi skot had the same problem with my 97kt but in 22 new out of the box tryed just about all the pellets you cud think off mate they were going all over the place i wud of been better off throwing the gun at the target but then i got some jsb exact jumbos 15,89gr and what a diffrance the hitting power was amazing and it was very acurate the power went up to 11,89 then after about 1000 pellets settled down to 11,47 then i noticed i was pulling the gun to the left every now and then i got in tuch with pianoman and he told me to ajust the trigger so it was nice and light to squeeze i dont know what the jsb 177,s will be like but i wud give them a go i use the jsb 22,s in all of my rifles even my pcp atvbmac 1 Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,589
The advices here are all good for you Skot. Try another brand of pellet like H&NFTT and RWS SUPERFIELDS. I've had nothing but wonderful returns on these in my .22 Weihrauch rifles. I don't see why the same shouldn't be for you in .177 calibre. And as Mac has kindly pointed to; maybe have a good look at your trigger setting? Might need a touch softening with a turn of the adjustment screw TO LEFT. Take some off the right bias you may have???? For all that though, don't worry my young chum! There is nothing going on here that cannot be resolved. If this was me. I'd get it to Andy. Or Jim Hogan at RED BECK or Tony Wall at Sandwell and, if need be, have the entire rifle stripped out and everything replaced internally, till it sang like a bird at the target. In all honesty, if this is more than an ammo issue, I bet my dear mate Andy (FR1968) here could diagnose this problem in two ticks. Try the change in ammo and if it's still not right, let's see about getting your gun over to Andy to have a look at. He's been a bloody genius with mine and he's getting the work on my new HW97KT when it gets here. Don't fret pet! Best wishes. Simon Edited November 12, 2012 by pianoman 1 Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
dont fret? well i was a bit. but a few reassuring comments on here have settled me down i will definately be trying at least 3 more pellets before i get worried again, also im going to let it bed in aswell. then IF its still inconsistent and no other pellets are accurate either il look into getting it sorted. actually thinking of asking the gunshops if they would trade both my 97k .22 and 97kt .177 for an air arms s410 then il keep my 95k .177 as a back up.. friggin love that little beauty thanks Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Go for plan 2 dude and trade them, you don't need any other springer when you have 95 which is clearly your go to favoured rifle anyway. Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
I'd sell the 97k and 95. keep the kt and put the proceeds towards tuning and kit. "Beware the man with one gun" Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
soz milegajo but i think mawders is right on this one Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
soz milegajo but i think mawders is right on this one No need for apologies my good man. Just my take on it. In fact, it's what I've done. Sold the 95 and others and settled for my underlever. Proceeds raised spent on kit and 'upgrades'. Which ever suits you best, I'd concentrate and stick with, then work to master it. 1 Quote Link to post

milegajo 595
Most likely will want their palms crossed with more silver... I'd sell privately. Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
Aye try and sell them privately, the great thing is your not in a rush as you have the 95 to use. I reckon of you traded them both the RFDwould still want some spends as well. Quote Link to post
