i remember when i was doing my sea saftey/survival course. and we listened to a recording of a sinking boat out of grimsby.

really wasnt nice as his last words where weve lost it and all went quiet. .. .all lives lost

 

in that clip them lads didnt leave to the last minute. i would have been in the drink well before that in fear of getting sucked down with it

We was 1 of only 3 boats that went out from brixham one day :icon_eek:

 

not good lost nets all baskets and fish with the vessel on its side and no land to be seen :icon_eek: :icon_eek:

Amazing she went down like that.

Big money. Big risks.

I've had an unintentional swim in the drink.Apparently I was in 20 minutes but to me it felt two minutes.Must have been adrenalin.

Not recommended.

how long ago did ya work the boats in brixham ..... do any shore fishing round there ??

Nah dont do shore fishing.

I only went on the boats at Brixham for a favour lol

My one and only time 'trying out' fishing was a hard lesson learnt I tell ya! On the north sea in the pissing rain, the wind changed and the waves just threw us around like a toy. On one set of pots they were going out nicely, on the very last one the boat lurched and the other lad slipped over with the pot in his hand and the rope round his arm...ya f****r don't think I've ever moved so fast in my entire life to untangle him, always respect the sea.
