Born Hunter 17,910
Its all gloom n doom innit gerron we it No it is not all doom and gloom. It is not illegal to go lamping for rabbits or to take them in daylight. It is illegal to run a hare with more than one dog and to take them at night. Whoever has started this thread is not giving ALL the relevent information. If stopped, write down the collar numbers of each police officer and make notes of what exactly is happening, with times. They cannot prevent you from doing this unless they arrest you - for which you would need to have committed a cime, not just be suspected of it. At the end of the matter, the police are responsibl for the condition of the dogs - photograph them before they are seized (do it before you start running!) The date will be imprinted on the image so can be used as evidence of maltreatment if necessary. People need to wise up. Too many total idiots running around complaining about things that they create for themselves. There is a system, learn to play it - you cannot go against it so you might as well. If you try to buck the system, ou will end coming off worst. If you learn to play the system, you can have your sport without any fear of your dog(s) being seized. People try to swing the lead and then wonder why it comes round and smacks them in the back of their head! It's Illegal to run a hare full stop. One dog or ten, day or night. how do you stop a dog whats flushing them ............not to chase them lol.,,.........................law is wank I could'nt give two fucks, I was correcting what Acuspell wrote. He said it was illegal to run a hare with more than one dog, implying that it was legal with just one dog. That's bad info for anyone not clued up on the law. I'm not arguing about it. 3 Quote Link to post
kranky 507
The police can't sieze your dogs unless they have genuine concern for their welfare or they catch you in the middle of an illegal act. Siezure of dogs and equipment is carried out after conviction, if the court require it. Quote Link to post
rob190364 2,594
maybe the lads who hunt in Warrington are wanting the land to themselves so spreading the word that the police are shit hot is a good way of keeping others away from that area.....just a thought police taking dogs off someone rabbiting with permission??? bollocks! 3 Quote Link to post
Floyd17586 454
Go there see if it happens ye lads.farmer told me same story as the lads Quote Link to post
kranky 507
But they have no legal right or just cause to sieze the dogs. The police are commiting an illegal act, any half decent solicitor would hammer them in court. 1 Quote Link to post
Born Hunter 17,910
It aint illegal to use one or two dogs to try and flush a Hare towards a Gun or Guns to be shot or to try and flush a Hare so a Hawk can dispatch it during Daylight hours so long as you have the landowners permission. Its Illegal to Hunt a Hare using any method during the night. You're absolutely right............ but that's not what he said. Edited October 9, 2012 by Born Hunter Quote Link to post
R.A.W 1,987
i heard it's bad up that way . an old biddy got nicked for walking a poodle . she doing a life sentence now lol  what probally happen is that the boys in question had outstanding warrants or told the police to f**k off i've got permission.(section 5 public order) got aressted and the police had to take in the dogs because they couldn't leave them there. logically . the police are lazy at the best of times. why would they want all the hard work of aresting them then writing them up to have a bollocking of there super for wrong full arrest. and having to clean there dog shit up. i've been stopped a few times and as long as you don't give them work . your all right. driving around at night with a deer tied to the roof is a bad idea. Quote Link to post

Is it really that high on the priority list??? Even the lampers that are actually breaking the law are surely way down the list compared to rapists, burgulars, muggers etc. It's just easy hits to get their figures up, absolutely pathetic! 2 Quote Link to post
