spade 224
Makes me laugh, all this tory public school tossers etc. There are plenty of Labour politicians and supporters who have also had a public school education who are equally as arrogant. So he didn't like what the police said to him and he reacted inappropriately and everyone is wanting his resignation. Remember John Prescott not agreeing with that protester in Wales and giving the bloke a smack but he didn't feel the need to resign.

Wilf I agree with your second paragraph, but this incident is important because it demonstrates clearly that there's a very unhealthy class divide in this country. Cameron, Osborne Boris and this clown Mitchell are just the type of 'officer class' that sent thousands of working class men over the top to be mown down german machine guns They see us as expendable, as a lower form of life. It's this attitude which pays chief execuives thousands of pounds per day and the likes of us washers. We british ordinary Joes also have one of the worst state pensions in the developed world. There's a class divide in this country which is actually, according to the stats, getting worse in terms of how much people have in their pocket. I once met a director of a company which ran two operations , one in England and one in Belgium. He told me he couldn't believe the differences between the two plants. In the Belgian plant, workers and bosses sat together in the canteen and socialised after hours together. He couldn't get over the fact that in the british plant only workers had to clock in and not management. And he was totally gobsmacked by the fact that there were separate toilets for workers and management. As he said;'it's as though the british workers are a lower form of life'. Here's another example of the way this country treats its people:__ Check out the quality of equipment/clothing that British squaddies have compared to the rest of Europe and the yanks. It's shite. It was exactly the same in the two major wars. I want my grandchildren to grow up in a meritocracy, not one where your card is marked as soon as you are born. Or where 10% of the population own 90% of the wealth. We are nor even citizens in this country we are her majesty's subjects. Subjects of a dysfunctional, german family who receive millions in handouts. Even with the relentless propaganda they churn out, surely you can see Wilf, that they sit at the top of a hierarchy underneath which Cameron and co whilst grovelling to their so called betters, kick us as hard as they can. It's not like this in other parts of Europe or Australia, New Zealand and countless other countries. Class is ingrained in this country and this Mitchell creature has exposed it. It's not convenient for the tories to be shown up in this light. It's too much truth and that is never a comfortable thing to expose. PS. I remember once being late for work and was 'quartered'. That is although I was only five minutes late I would not be paid for 15 minutes, hence quartered. I was late for work for a good family reason. The foreman, an arse licker of the highest order, but a bully to those under him, told me start work immediately but I refused until the full 15 minutes were up. He reported me to the manager who (arrived at work two hours later) and I was suspended with no pay for three days. Those days should be dead and gone but with these tories in power we are going backwards. Mitchell would have us all doffing caps, so it's important he goes. he represents a lot that's bad in this country. Edited September 24, 2012 by bezza
