AA S510 or Daystate air ranger FAC ?

Recommended Posts

If your thinking on price, the AA510 is much cheaper..... Shot count then the Daystate.....Dont go for the AA extra power! far too unwieldy,... the Daystate is much more a Carbine length.... on self maintainance? the 510. much easiear to strip/repair....What would I go for?...Hrmm, Hard call..Methinks the daystate, just on looks and the shot count due to the electronic regulator. :hmm: .

Although I'm a massive air arms fan , its gotta be the Daystate for me . Common sense just makes it the obvious choice . The 510 for me is just not going to come close shot count wise , and its loud at sub 12 , so running at FAC , it'll be too loud for my liking. On paper its an easy decision , but its your decision to make , only would the handling make me change my mind if the Daystate didn't shoulder well .

The ranger every time, Higher shot count, IMO better made, IMO better customer service and its black powder coated and not blued like Air Arms are So no worry about rusting if you manage to accidently get blood anywhere !

Go ranger and you wont regrett it, iv just got my .22 FAC huntsman and love it ! Mind you the rabbits dont like it much !

Hi Duncan, I have a AA S510 and an old version of the Air Wolf which is very close to the Ranger (i'm led to belive) both are sub 12, but i help this helps..

The 510 is an outstanding bit of kit! really, really well balanced and easy to handle, However... the Daystate is better!

I can do sub inch groups at 70yds with the 'Wolf' off a bibod and i'm sure a better marksman could do much better! shot count is supurb and the reliability is second to none.

My only fault with the AW is the weight, its a killer lugging it round all day/night so i only use it from a car or static shoots, if i'm walking around its the 510 all day.... so my advice is buy BOTH lol

Sounds like the 'Ranger still wins it for me then - I've always preferred heavier guns and rifles. Thanks for the input

Ps - buy both? When the .243 is added as well as an fac airgun, my cabinet will be maxed out lol!
