My son had Cerabyl Palsy , i say had he died 6 yrs ago aged 18 , no sympathy wanted pls , anyway when he was about 5 or 6 a smart fukcer made a comment to my mrs with my son , he would off been about 30 this bloke , it took me a couple off weeks in find who he was , by fukc he wouldnt be so quick to do the same again after i found him, i was lookin at 2yrs , though circumstances come out in court and i walked , morall off this is , im no fighter/hardman id walk away in normal circumstances than fight over nothing, i love a laugh and a joke like the best off them but in situations where your child is sick and some fukcer trys abusing that , you would be surprised how a normal insignifigant person can react , I admired the way some off them people reacted to the actor who was pissed off , if ever i was in a situation like that id not want to but i know id react terrible towards the person moaning about an illness/sickness !!

ADHD, autism, asburgers there's loads off them, I know many kids with things like this some with 2/3 that I mentioned. The lad next to me is 18 and never sleeps more than 3 hours a night. He's got serious OCD along with autism and he showers up to 5 times each day. They're all great kids and I don't find or treat them any different than the rest, I suppose it's other peoples ignorance to it all which is the real problem as that video showed.

Good points , like I said a few did say something. And the majority applauded when he left. However some didn't say anything, but I guess that's the point of these vids, not everyone reacts the same.

I watched the one racist realtor , a mate sent to me which was funny , but after watching a few more it's fascinating watching people's reactions

whippet, how old are you?

"define autism".

Well, to be accurate, people have an illness that is on the autistic spectrum (often called an "autistic spectrum disorder" or ASD). It is a huge variety of conditions, behaviours and difficulties that can manifest itself in a wide variety of ways.

It is typically characterized by social deficits, communication difficulties, stereotyped or repetitive behaviors and interests, and in some cases, cognitive delays.

So it can be recognised as an inability to interact with the world around you, either emotionally or functionally.

ometimes it is accompanied by extraordinary competence in certain very narrow areas, most of the people in history who have had the "idiot savant" tag applied would these days be diagnosed as having an Autistic Spectrum disorder.

ADHD is a very different kettle of fish. ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder) is typified by an inability to concentrate, and an abnormal level of activity. It is a well defined illness, that is thought to be due to a chemical imbalance in the brain. It's not just kids being naughty.

I know a few autistic kids, at various stages on the spectrum, and anyone who tries to claim that they're just playing up, or behaving badly, completely fails to understand them. When I worked with kids, I had to have a word with adults a few times who made snide comments about some of the ASD kids, and would do the same again.

Lab, if you have that short a fuse maybe you should should seek professional help for it.

Both my eldest stepsons have it,

Eldest is mildly autistic he wasn't diagnosed til he went to comp school,he can't stand noise, crowds,he is 14 but mentally about 7.

He can get fixated / mildly obsessed with certain things.

Second boy is severly autistic,he is labeled as being at topof the spectrum for infantile autimsm he is nearly 13 ,can only say a few words, still in nappies at night, can soil himself, eats non food substances, smashes things up,recently head butted the window out the school taxi.and generally behave like a toddler.

The younger lad is a handful as take him to a park and he will try an take a kids bike and as theres nothing wrong looking with him you get loads of grief off parents.

He's got that bad even the Play scheme run at his school won't take him out on day trips to unknown locations as he can tie up 2/3 members of staff.

Even the special needs social services worker has admitted they wouldn't be able to cater for his needs,

All these threads about benefits and non workers piss me off as its easier for me to work 55 plus hours machine welding than keeping eye on them 2 ,

Yet I was asked to do this as mum couldn't handle them when they started to lose their temper.

Now I'm wound up I'm off to kick shit out of something.

So i have a short fuse, big deal. I deal with it by walking away from the situation and not smashing f**k out of people. If that changes i will seek help.

I agree 100%, as for ones that think people have it "easy" sit on their arse and claim benefits - well think again. My sister is disabled and needs care 24/7. My mum is on benefits - because she CANT work because she has to look after my sister, she isnt a "sponger" off the government she is a CARER, she would love to be off out working and socializing but cant. She is on her own (single mum) so that means the only time she gets to herself is either when my sister is at her day center or if im looking after her.

It gets to me everytime when people say "o the dole bums up the road" or "o im paying for you" blah blah blah.

I'm not out for sympathy either ,

I thought if I gave an outline the judgemental no nothing's that think a hiding will sort them out will maybe reevaluate their beliefs.

My main concern is what happens to them when me an her are gone.

In grand scheme of things I'd say your situation is worse.
