I have been over to Sharm every winter for the last 5 years diving, Superb holiday. The missus loves it, the locals a super freindly and the hotel staff could teach the Spanish all about customer service.

The hotels are all clean, the red sea is amazing. It`s aproper chill out holiday and some or the trips are cool, Quad biking in the desert and shit.

The Sharm town centre,Nahma Bay is a tip, not worth the visit, but along at sharks bay they have a new plaza and it`s nice for a walk at night.

My advice would be get over there, you`ll want to go back.

Im a big fan of the Greek Islands, mostly the less well known ones ive never had a bad holiday there..................places like Egypt,Morrocco,Tunisia etc are all hit and miss you might have the time of your life or you might come away disappointed......................if you can take regular holidays then go for it if its no good so what.......if its not such a regular thing then go somewhere with a bit more of a reliable reputation.

Only my opinion like.

Been 3 times and would definitely go again, its much cleaner than Turkey, the locals are less hassle, yes they do try to get you into their shops but a polite no and walk away works every time, Never had a problem with the food, or tummy bugs either.

The time you are talking of going is mad hot out there, i would recommend it if your not one of the "Beniboem/Marmaris fried breakfast crowd"

Oh and it is one of the best places in the world for scuba diving and snorkelling
