Simoman 110
Some pups regress, just keep up the toilet training and increase the frequency of putting the dog out and reward her for going outside, some dogs take learn quickly and other can seem to take an age. Have you tried an indoor crate? Quote Link to post
BS40liam 203
Would love to paulus but the misses won't let me, it was a choice either a family pet lurcher that I'm alowed to work when old enough or a minature jrt! Lol. Simoman we have talked about getting one and my mates got one I can have so ill try that see how I gets on. thanks for the replys guys Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Crates are a wonderfull thing, i tried one 15 years ago and there has been one in the house ever since. Many people look upon them as a cage, or confinement but the fact is they assist in house training, they also provide the dog with its own "space", somewhere to retreat to for peace and quiet. My indoor dog is always crated when i leave the house for more than an hour and also overnight. Get the dog used to being fed in there with the door open, provide a chew or toy and then start closing the door for short periods, over time this will increase and soon enough the pup will sekk the solace of the crate to relax when tired......... Moll. 1,793
Pups always seem to take one step forward and two back with toilet training, just keep doing what your doing and she will get there eventually, 13wks in my experience is still too young for it to be 100% trained. Quote Link to post

Millet 4,497
I have been bringing a pup on for the last 6 1/2 mth and her toilet training was hit and miss to start with but she slowly got there..i found them puppy pad's to be brilliant...i started of putting them in the cage where she slept then slowly moving them further away to the back door...i also watched her like a hawk and the first sign she was going to pee i would pick her up and put her in the garden..but that usualy put's them of from wanting to go so no matter how long it take's you have to stand in the garden with her till she eventualy goes with load's of praise when she eventualy does..you will get there in the end just be patient. Flipper_Al 1,012
We went old school with paper, our local shop gives us loads of the stuff, few bits by the back door in case she gets caught short at night During the day she now whines at the back door....but you still need to be quick Edited June 11, 2012 by Flipper_Al Quote Link to post
iworkwhippets 13,130
She is only 13 weeks pal, some dogs learn quicker than others, and are cleaner than others, a crate is what you need, as for puppy pads, no thanks, you are training your pup to cack in the house, as for carrying a pup outside, why its got legs Quote Link to post

BS40liam 203
Ill bare a few ideas in mind. We started her on puppy pads as that's what the people we bought her off we're using but even once we got home she wouldn't go on them. I'm definatly gettin a crate as we need one anyway if we need to go anywer I fill it would help a lot plus I want her sleeping down stairs, and not upstairs as the misses has been alowing her to! All the other training is going fantastic thgo recall is really good also sitting and walking to hell without a lead in the local park I found all this good with a treat she picked it up really good...thank god for cheddar cheese! She loves the stuff lol Quote Link to post
