Rake aboot 4,936
But Phillip Greens ok with avoiding £289 million in takeover tax, followed by another god knows how many million. As well as the banks who are virtually all registered offshore Yet if I earn £50 for a days work once every couple of months and don't declare it, im a cnut.... There is no scale as far as I`m concerned, The major rich tax avoiders are just as bad, but not being rich doesn`t make it acceptable to hide money rather than pay tax. It all comes out of somebody elses pocket in the long run.

It all comes out of somebody elses pocket in the long run. Yes it does rake, but who's pocket would that be then? Yours and mine.... Not the wealthy who's money is spread across the globe in a wilful attempt to avoid paying their way. So, the working class turn on each other because it's us who pick up the tab. In the last fiscal year I earned an extra £60. If you think I'm declaring that so the taxman can strip 33% off my hard graft he's got another thing coming. I know some rip the piss, but I'm not. I paid emergency tax for nearly 8 years and watched them spunk it into 'projects' and bollocks surveys, wars and the rest.
PlasticJock 539
Also, did you know that today is the day that the average taxpayer starts earning for himself? What an absolute joke... They want people to start spending but all I have is buttons and fluff in my pockets.

PlasticJock 539
I know a guy in Longniddry who's a self employed sparky with 2 apprentices, he pays £800 a year to be VAT registered ie collecting tax and doing the books for the governments accounts, for every mistake he makes on the forms it's an automatic £100 fine. For doing their work for them

Rake, do you honestly think the government would charge you any less money if every single person in the country who does a bit of cash in hand suddenly stopped? You wouldnt be any better off mate, you can almost guarantee it. They'd soon find something to piss away the extra cash on! Besides, taxation don't stop at income tax.. You pay into the system through VAT, road tax, fuel duty, alcohol duty, etc, so a large part of this undeclared money goes back into the system regardless.
baw 4,360
Is there ever an excuse for benefit cheating? Bare in mind, the work cash in hand guys are doing has under cut the honest man who has to price jobs with tax and vat in mind. I'm self employed, vat registered cos my turnover is above the limit. I'm lucky cos my line of work doesn't get effected by cash in hand guys but you got to feel for guys in the building trade. Average Joe isn't interested in receipts, he just wants the cheapest option no matter how shoddy it might be. I wouldnt grass anyone, as I said doesn't effect me but if it did, I'd need to put my family ahead of my pride I'm afraid. Dog eat dog world I'm afraid. Another thing.... I know plenty screwing the system, as said above doesn't bother me but what I have noticed, they are the worst for grassing on each other. Lost count how many times I've heard them moan about so n so getting such and such and how many times they've seen him without his stick. Telling every c**t in the hope he gets caught, makes me laugh that.
torchey 1,328
its the lazy c**ts who have never done a days work and reap all the benefits that piss me ,not the poor fuckers who are down to a couple of days a week trying to keep a roof above there heads..as for whats worse a grass or a cheat f**k getting nicked with you
