30 yard 5 shot group,with HW97KT .22

 

hi Skot

 

I managed to get out today,despite the ten mph winds.and got you a 5 shot group @ 30yds,i cleaned the barrel a couple of weeks back,and have had different pellets through it.

but today I just re-leaded the barrel with 20/30 shots then done a 5 shot group as requested! by your self and some you tube subscribers, I still think I haven't found the right pellet for it yet?

 

​i have had good results with H&N FTT but have ran out,so i had to find a good substitute,in webley accupels. I did try Weihrauch FT special , which are suppose to be the exact pellet as H&N FTT, I disagree!

Davy, i can confirm what Tony states. ASI advertise the Crosman Premier as "The most ACCUrate PELLet...." So the clue is in their typesetting! So if you cannot find Accupell, try Crosman Premier Domed.

im feeling a lot more self confident now watching this knowing my results are quite similar. i must be a pretty good shot then ) lol

 

next tiime i manage to get out and if its not too windy il have a 5 shot 30yarder an get a pic on.

 

hope you and si had fun at the weekend when you met up, and its a shame i cant goto the big meet up your all having.. maybe next year tho if i have a motor by then you all seem like top guys and would be a good do.

took my rifles on many a train and bus over the years... one female busdriver wasnt going to let us on unless we left the rifles in her little cabin seat area thing.. i told her it was worth nearly £900 and wasnt leaving my shoulder and just walked on and sat down hahahaa

if it would have been the weekend after that, and i had some money, id have been able to make it ... , no way is my manager going to change my holidays at such short notice..there will already be too many people off on my department. i have a crappy job in a supermarket lol

also money is a bit tight at the min so i couldnt afford it..

 

if id have looked at the thread in november when si started it and started getting everything organised i could have planned it well in advance and id have been there.

il try my best to get to the 2013 meet up tho

 

hope you all have fun and il just have to watch the vids everybody is sure to make and regret not getting my ar e into gear sooner

I had planned on being at the UBC meet next weekend, but due to my memory (or lack of I would have turned up two weeks late for that!!) things fecked up big style.

 

Luckilly I didn't feck up the THL dates!

Davy please try Air Arms Field Plus at 18.1 grain.

 

I shot a string of 20 of them through my HW97KT over the weekend (Sunday) and they have a 3 foot per second max(sometimes less) at 1 and 2 feet per second difference.

 

At range they are very good as you saw when i shot the 53 metre rabbit with you and Malc.

 

You will also see later in the week when i post a clip of me taking a 65 metre woody with a perfect heart shot with the springer. It dropped like a stone without even opening its wings.

 

That SFS tuned springer is awesome.

 

Im going to try Webley Accupells myself to see what they are like in my barrel.

Si try Crosman Premier Domed, as they are the same pellet, only cheaper! Alternatively do a Mole and go for the impressively named Ultra Magnums, which are medium weight in .22 and heavyweight in .177, someone please explain that decision to me!
