Ideation 8,217
Just a couple of questions, after having a funny kind of day today. Who on here can honestly say that they don't summer hunt, and don't jump on the chance of doing it, and being able to use 'pest control' as the excuse (different from doing a call out when there is a genuine reason). and secondly - If you have access to land, and other folk hunt it as well, who love going out and filling their boots in summer, do you stick to your principles and keep to the winter, or just f**k it and do what they do, but try and get in first, killing as much as you can in summer? patterdalejoel 669
i did it today. the person with no grass for their horses dont give a feck about seasons and will think im a right bellend if i tell them that. he will only go out with the 410 and blast them to bits anyway, i would rather keep the ferrets fit and make use of the rabbits. i dont like doing it but i did, and he recommended me to another farmer and im going to look at more permo tuesday as i he thinks i did such a good job gerting rid of them all. has to be done sometimes. i do put off asking for new permission until september as they will expect me their straight away if i ask now and i don't want to kill them all in the summer. but then again everyone will be asking in september so do i ask now and get permission and kill a few milky does or wait until september and get nothing? would rather forget principles and get more permo. Ideation 8,217
Some interesting comments. Lab at least your honest haha. PJ - I think that falls under the 'got a valid excuse' category. Can't really be used for the many many folk that poach though, they cant exactly hold the farmer / permission up as an excuse. In general though, unless it's new permission, you wont have that problem if you have hit it in winter, and if you do, then it probably means the place is over run, and so quarry levels will not be affected that much by you hunting it in summer. Paulus - that doesnt count, i mean activly going out lamping, shooting or digging quarry for nothing other than sport and a laugh.

That's pretty much the attitude of most round here now, got to get in first, or some other f****r will, so its getting earlier every year, with may being a very popular month these days.
