It does happen mate, the cases of big businesses buying time with the people in power are often it he news. These 'donations' of £250,000 or more aren't often paid out of goodwill or charity. It wasn't that long ago some Tory was caught on film boasting about being able to get someone a meeting with the prime minister for x amount of money, it was the same with the last shower of shit we had in. Cash for questions, cash for honours, etc..

very true malt if we are ever to get a truelly democratic country all partie given a set amount of money from the taxpayer that goes to there campaign fund. all tv companies should give a certain amount of time to each party etc so its a level playing field and no one can buy influence to steer any policy just look at america hundreds of millions for each pres campaigner thats a guaranteed environment for corruption
