B.P.R 2,798
If you want to know about weird farmers, ask rake Aboot. Cutting a long story short, the farmer rang rake asking him to sort the rabbits out. Aye no bother. Turned up and from in the car I could see rake getting wound up. Farmer was saying, you can't ferret that land, can't do that bit, can't walk across that land to ferret there, that dogs not aloud (my 12 week whippet pup)..... We just drove away with steam coming out of rakes ears!!! Fecking wierdo he was! Quote Link to post
RubyTex 1,957
Farmers are funny fcukers are the best of times, just gotta roll with it and not take the piss. He gave you air rifle permission right? Probably not a fan of running dogs around his stock. My farmer grunts, i can't understand a fecking word most of the time. I'm not there to jip on to a geriatric for half an hour though! Quote Link to post

patterdale666 1,620
Asking ya who owns the dog and where did ya get it doesnt sound like accusing you of nicking a dog 1 Quote Link to post
BrianSteven72 369
at the end of the day if the farmer thought for one minute you stole the dog or anything else for that matter i dont think you would have permission on his land so he cant think that bad of you ! Quote Link to post
DogMagic 461
On a farmers forum somewhere there will be a thread saying "i had a load of work to do today and i went to get the 4x4 so i could get over the far end quicker. As i was pulling out i saw a young lad who i let shoot with his airrifle walking his dog down the lane. I didnt know he had a dog, hes never mentined it at all. I stopped and took the time to try and have a conversation with him, i asked him about the dog but he got all shifty and just grunted and looked like i was in his way. He seems a good enough lad, usually knocks a few pigeons over in the barn. Maybe its just the youth of today but he seemed a right moody little strote. I dont know why i bothered". 10 Quote Link to post

robwelsh 354
He asked u is it yours, when did u get it and where from..that's not accusing you of stealing a dog, perhaps he didn't know you had a dog, or forgot u mentioned it..be greatful you have permission and stop winging about it..you should have respect for him..and because you've showed this he's given u respect and permission..take a chill pill or give up the land to someone less sensitive 3 Quote Link to post
