Back in recession..

Recommended Posts

Also it makes me sik to here the farmers moaning about there costs and acting like there being hard done buy when they get subsidised for just about every thing posible (why are builders not being helped)??

Dairy farmers has been living of subsidies for years, they make a loss no matter what and its because people moan about paying tuppence extra for a pint of milk. Its very similar across nearly every area of agriculture. You'd have thought some one on a hunting forum would have some ideas about what its like trying to scratch a living from the country side/farming. Agriculture is one of the lowest paid sectors in the economy. Most barely make minimum wage.

You know what makes me "sik"? When you pay a builder to do a job for you and he turns up late, sits on his fat arse and drinks brews all day. See i can generalise and talk bollocks as well.

Yes mate, because he deals with money. Like banks and governments.

God bless him for being so honest, he's one of the very few bankers/traders who I'd give the time of day to :D

I don't blame him, people have been playing along for years not wanting their bubbles burst, calling people like me conspiracy theorists, and their we have it from the horses mouth.

You will reap what you have sown ;)

Maybe, but the farmer has been getting the same price per litre for milk for years (26p last time i asked a farmer), but the supermarket price has never stopped going up. A £3.8bn before tax profit for Tesco last year. Milk at £1 a litre. It's the supermarkets at fault here.

I don't think you need to cut corners at all, in fact quiet the opposite.....let the quality of your work and your service stand for itself, put a value on it and if people don't want to pay it then let them get someone else !!

I take my hat off to any small firms who are directly employing men at the moment as I bet many of the bosses are going without a little bit themselves to keep blokes in work so fair play to them......I wouldn't do it !!

your not getting what im saying mate , the work quality is always done to the highest standerd other wise it is obvious you wont get no custom. ive seen it pal , mixing up type one dug out the roads useing it for concreteing foundations and for floor bases, and the building inspecter comes out and says what a good job. couldnt believe it , its all back handers. they add abit of dust or sand with it , it will go off as hard as any concrete. there fraudsters all back handers the end result always is good but they do cut corners and make money. subbies getting booked in with diggers etc , they werent even on the job, next thing the subbies are taking the bosses up scotland shooting , its all for the benefit of there selfs and all there doing is robbing there own company. there such big companies nobody knows any different, but the problem is when they get greedy (and they all do) they take the piss to much and get caught but the hardest thing is proving whats going on, and why is it all the bull shitters do well and always got money!

So a firm was digging out type 1 mot stone out of road's for foundation's and floor base's  cant see that being a big firm or on a houseing site mate sound's like a small band of builder's bodging mate not what i would call cutting corner's on a large site, how the feck did they get away with that with a building inspector especialy on a foundation :icon_eek: it would of took them fecking age's to dig that back out and mix it by hand or mixer and lay it to look like concrete  would of been cheaper and easier in long run that getting a m3 mix delivered by a company  surely a building inspector would not take a bung for that on a foundation pour if that come's down with folk in it or they have to underpin it in the future he would be liable as feck so would the fella's that built it :icon_eek:

:icon_eek:

it aint a massive firm in fact there in court for tax fraud , typical italians but that aint nothing to them they made there money and are multi millionaires property every where. i was the same as you thinking surely it would be cheaper to get a lorry in .

you wouldnt believe it he put a big drive in for a mansion that he had built for a fuel owner and all the concrete bed and haunching for the kerbs up the drive was mixed by hand , tonnes and tonnes , iexspect the drive was 150 meters long and that was kerbs each side. he gets away with murder, just like you people dont believe the people who work for him, when they tell people what he does. what i cant work out hes flat out with work, they dont do big sites with multi houses, the biggest job they done to date was the mansion which cost tincknell fuels 2 million., im telling you now they have got away with it up to now and this is how they have made there money , cutting corners and the only time they dont is when there on day work which isnt often

Jobbing builders must be having a very hard time as every man and his dog is a builder so there's a lot of competition for work.....plus consumers always going for the cheapest job.

It's a self fuelling thing all this undercutting, I bet not many solicitors are dropping prices!!
