 How's the piking been Niall ?

been out quite a few times lately, only seem to be catching jacks tho.

had to get rid of the last boat, could'nt keep petrol to the engine so we yet again purchased another.

this time this one is better suited to our piking needs but no more sea fishing now tho.

im with martin on this one,ive eat quite a few over the years, taking a small one for the pot is fine.the problem we now have is the european immigrants taking them indiscriminetly regardless of size.such a ban would be waste of time because of this.it would however criminalise me for taking one.i wouldnt swap one for a cod :tongue2: but cooked in foil over a camp fire  atb dave

Again im with Martin. Why should a pike be any different to any other eatin fish?? Take an odd small one and let the big girls back. There fine eatin! I generaly fillet the fish, remove the ribs and skin, then cut into strips long ways to get rid of the pin bones, roll in corn flower and deep fly for a few minutes. You wont eat better! Alot nicer then the shite salmon and trout you buy in the shop that live on fish pellets! Nice boat Niall, best of luck with her, always liked the shelins. Good safe boat. ATB Mark
