Recommended Posts

Well was just out lamping for a few bunnies, not good conditions, clear skies and quiet, but got a couple in the bag... my lass who was out with me suddenly said 'whats that'! Well, looked up to see a huge meteor tearing across the sky, with a massive trail behind it...looked like it was coming down somewhere further south, maybe Co. DUrham, maybe further, hard to tell how high it was... best feckin shooting star Ive ever seen! Heeds up! Shame we didnt get it on camera though as we did have it with us... never mind, ill not forget that in a hurry.

Never seen that, but there was a massive rainbow in Newcastle, one of the biggest ive seen.

I can remember about 8 years ago there was a huge meteor show/storm that i saw from Morpeths big Har hill, infact it could be seen all over our area very very clear.

What made it even more spectacular was the fact that it was /had been snowing.

Im sure that this particular storm was only ever seen every 100 years, this went on for 3 plus hours, literally 1000s of stars with big tails.
