I think Mrs Lawrence is a very impressive person. All she wanted was a level playing fiels but the met police, because of their own racism . treated her son's death with contempt. If i was her I wou.ld have buried the lad in Jamaica because his gravestone would have been defaced or vandalised. The plaque which was placed on the pavement where SL was stabeed has been defaced several times. The whole saga has been tragic.

shame the lad died,but tbh its no worse than some crimes that happen on reg basis perpetrated by blacks against whites. from murder to assaults and robbery. justice is very seldom given to those victims,cause of the pc madness that is only to alive and growing on this island.creates bad feeling and anomosity. cops have to pussy foot around these incidents in case of being made to look racist.same goes when it comes to sentencing,the judges differ in there sentences going by the colour of your skin. if you need proof of that you only need to look at the recent cases before xmas. yes its racist and descrimitary,but against british people.

tragic as his death was it happens all the time.yes his folks must be upset but thier comments about racist british soil was ott. certainly didnt have any trouble taking handouts and using racist british benefits and our system.

The point is he was killed BECAUSE he was black. The police never bothered their arses to arrrest the gang even though they received numerous phone calls tipping them off as to the identity of the murderers.They could have had all five in custody within hours had they been half interested or half competent. Because they were so racist themselves they sat on their arses and allowed the gang to dispose of evidence right under their noses.

I'm surprised at the amount of racism shown on this thread. The whole idea of this day was for British society to hold up its hands and say yes we have a big problem in this country but we are trying to do something about it.

Scothunter are you suggesting SL's commemorative plaque was defaced repeatedly by black people?If so you need psychiatric help in my opinion.
