The Duncan 802
Best thing about Xmas? Ho's always come in threes
The Duncan 802
My three kids are 6 and 7 years old. In my situation, it's a lot of pressure. All my family are back home and the ex and his family have naff all to do with the kids. I'd love to spoil them but I just can't. They've got a few decent pressies, and some 'family' presents - board games and such. And that will have to do. Between tidying up the unwrapping carnage, building things, installing batteries, making breakfast, washing up .... I don't enjoy it any more. It's not right nice being the only grown up in the house on Christmas day I'll put on a santa hat and a smile and wade through the day, but the truth is I just want it to be over. now youve got me all teary but look on the bright side you can always watch dr who when theyve gone bed I'd rather set my hair on fire - I'm not a Dr Who fan  But there's some decent programs lined up on Eden and Discovery, they ought to occupy me once the sprogs collapse lol Made me laugh LG I do feel for you given your circumstances and hope you enjoy your Xmas as best you can. I reckon your kids will still have a good 'un and their faces should make your day sweeter. My kids are old enough for the magic not really to be there. Eden and discovery - about the only channels worth (occasionally) watching. Can't beat nature and survival progs! Only thing is half the birds and animals I imagine what they'd taste like
lurchergrrl 1,441
It's true tho! I used to watch Doctor Who many moons ago when Tom Baker and his big hair were the main attraction These days it's too confusing Christmas is only one day. I've lived through much much worse I can assure you It's exciting for them. I dread it, but they're happy and they're only little once. Got to make the most of it

Well when you're serving up the Christmas dinner, and you've served everyone else, just look straight at your other half and say: 'my darling, as I had to get my own present, you can f**k off and get your own dinner!
