secretagentmole 1,701 Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 I wish to massively apologise to Bond Guns and Buster over a cunning plan that Baldricked right in my face. I started a thread with the deliberate intention of getting Buster onto it, to highlight how stupid Mole had been in forgetting about the best independent Air Arms specialist in the country, The idea was to put up a comment about the list price quoted by Bond and the price paid to Air Arms. Then when Buster comes onto it, rightly so, to defend Bond Guns, pointing out I had not included the discount, I could have then said "Yes, and if I had remembered Bond I would not have been waiting weeks for the springs to come in so they could send the part either." It was intended to be a bit of a tease. Problem was Mole had a nasty experience, a coma, complete lights out job, 3 injections of Glucagon into the backside, 2 bottles of Hypostop down the cakehole and coming round later to 2 paramedics who want to take me to hospital and trying to remember what the hell had gone on. When comes round, nuclear explosion (and rightly so) on Mole's stupid idea. In the meantime Bond Guns get in touch with idiot brains on another forum asking what the hell the idea was. Still feeling like a load of dog chocolate, I said I was trying to get a troll to go off, meaning one Buster! Then I could have explained how stupid I was forgetting about the discount. I put my head down hoping it would blow over. Bad idea, I should have apologised immediately or tried to get the thread removed. Not a good idea to start a thread winding people up, even if with the best of intentions. When Mole drops a round hairy spherical object he drops a large one as been noted in the past. I will not be doing so in the future. Instead I will be directly complimenting the outfits and not trying to be a smart ass, because when I try well crap happens major league! I will leave the other thread up as a reminder to myself, not to try to be a smart alec and not to do that again! 1 Link to post

brett1985 1 Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 (edited) it takes real balls to come on a public forum and apologise, and credit where its due, you did mr mole. bad deals happen all the time, and people will always voice their opinions. its life. ive got nothing against bond guns, and if i still owned an air arms, they would be the only place i would use......... what more can he do than apologise? we are all grown ups here, lets keep things amicable. if an apology isnt good enough then both parties turn round and walk away. just my opinion...... He's been on THL as a guest for so long he can tell you Moley live story... He's a user of BBS, but not under that user name, just did a deal with a guy from south west, no problems etc.. But please, I beg of you, in future, rather than trying to protect the rest of the world, keep your thoughts to yourself! Trust me I know what I am talking about here buddy. And certainly if you need to get a response from another member, then please use the PM system or an open "Ask" in the future? And certainly DON'T drag a trader into a thread as you are quite likely to wind up on the wrong side of a judge in a libel case and diabetic or not, with all the good will and intention in the world, its not going to save your hide!
